Welcome to Pioneer!
Where campers bridge to next level camping and earn it all with the hike to camp! We have a lovely lakeside trail to and from camp which we make round trip once a day only because……. well, it’s a hike! Your camper will learn to pack their day bag with everything needed for their daily adventures because once we leave camp we are adventuring all day around the lake! Pioneer girls get to experience archery and use funyak boats for the first time. Pioneer is a growing year at camp. They will move to the far side of the camp the following year so we like to embrace and teach them their independence and capabilities to succeed through their future years at camp and also really “glamp” it up with the yearly theme. We remind the campers, by example to always embrace your inner child and have fun! We wind down every evening with story time to relax and fall asleep.
Please bring comfortable closed toed shoes for walking and water shoes or old tennis shoes that are ok to get wet to boat in. We live on a hillside- see the pics of our trails above! Traction is a must. (Crocs are not camp shoes)
We do crafts, games, braids and did I mention hiking? We can’t wait to meet your camper and help them have a fun, memorable, growing experience at camp!
If your camper is entering 6th grade, they’ll be staying right here in Pioneer.
