  • A week‑long, sleep-away Girl Scout–led resident camp at Camp Lyle McLeod in Bellfair Washington

  • Annually held the 3rd week of July. Register your camper here

  • Nope! You don’t have to be a Girl Scout to attend Trail and Sail Community Camp.

    Campers who aren’t currently registered as Girl Scouts can still join camp. A small, one-time membership fee will be added during registration, which covers them for the entire year.

    • Margret Scout: Wilderness skills like Dutch oven cooking, compass/knot use, signaling and firebuilding

    • Archery: Skills + friendly competition

    • Swimming & Boating: Daily swim times, fun lake games, canoe rescues, life-jackets & closed toe water shoes required

    • Crafts & Woodcrafts: Theme-related art and construction projects

  • February 1st, 2026 at 10 AM—mark your calendar!

  • Campers sleep in designated units like yurts, platform tents, or rustic cabins depending on their grade and assigned group. All housing is supervised by background-checked adult volunteers, and each unit has access to water, bathrooms, and covered cooking areas. See. our Units Page for more info.

  • Trail and Sail is a 100% volunteer-run camp led by experienced adult staff and supported by trained leaders. Many of our leaders return year after year and are passionate about outdoor education and youth empowerment.

  • Volunteers needed! Adult volunteers lead units, help with programming while gaining new skills and ideas. No specific GS prior experience required.

  • Yes. Trail and Sail welcomes campers of all identities, including transgender, nonbinary, gender-expansive, and queer youth. We follow the inclusivity policies of Girl Scouts of Western Washington, which affirms that all girls—cisgender, transgender, and gender-expansive youth who identify with the Girl Scout experience—are welcome.

    Our camp leaders and volunteers are trained on inclusive language, pronoun use, and how to create a supportive, respectful space for all campers. We believe in cultivating a culture of belonging and kindness where every camper feels seen, safe, and celebrated.
